Title: is it true?
Post by: alex wittman on April 02, 2008, 08:15:11 PM
dear Mr.Bachmann,
Is it true if you have a DCC equipped thomas the tank engine and friends locomotives and use your command control, is it really easy to change the decoders address?
                                  Sincerely,

                                           Alex Wittman, future model railroader.

Hmm... :-\  I dont think he does. :-\  Well you'll have to wait I guess.  Either that or talk to Alex AKA Guliford Guy.  He seems to be that smartest around here. :)

There is an article on installing DCC in Henry and Thomas somewhere...
EDIT: Here's Henry:

Dear Alex,
No, my Sodor display is analog. However, the folks at Carstens Publications have put DCC in the Thomas characters.
Have fun!

It is pretty easy to program a new address in a decoder, change CV's, such as braking, and acceleration delay, depending on which system. EZ command does not support CV programming, and can only program 1 digit locomotive addresses.
