Be sure it's plastic compatible.  I use a small drop of Labelle #106.

I also use La Belle 106 grease with Teflon. A drop or two at the most. A lot of grease is not needed.

A great grease for MR gears is the valve grease thats sold in Swimming Pool supply stores. It's plastic compatible, with stands heat, doesn't break down due to heat wear or water, non toxic, clear in color and the best is the price about $2 per 5 ounce tube.  I use on my garden railway.

I prefer E-Z lube. But I'm not sure that counts as a grease.

Then dig it!
I would use light grease on small parts, but thicker on the gears.
