I just purchased an older Bachman 2-10-4 . I have run it and it runs rough. I have yet to take it apart so I have no idea what may be wrong .It seems to have an extra long coal tender and the bottom of the tender is drilled for a speaker. Can any one supply any info on this model. Were there any trouble spots to look for .Thanks

Older Bachmann. One of the sources of the old bad reputation. Depending on the paint job, the tender may or may not be accurate. This is one of the "one boiler fits all paint schemes" models.
