Title: dc & dcc controler match
Post by: blueridge rr on March 03, 2007, 01:11:52 PM
I have an N scale layout & use a MRC Tech4 260 controller. Is it possible to use the tech4 with the E-Z command system?

No --- you must use the power unit that comes with the E-Z Command system.

You can use the MRC Tech4 to power a turnout switch motor or other layout accessories on your layout but NOT to power the E-Z Command Control Center.

The instructions of the E-Z Command reads that you can hook up an anolog controller. here it is...
Using the black interconnecting power cable provided, you can also connect a Bachmann DC controller to your E-Z Command
Control Center as shown in figure 17. When connected, address 10 automatically converts from its original DC (analog) assignment
to DCC (digital). Thus, a tenth digital address becomes available, and the connected DC controller will allow you or a friend to
control a DC locomotive in conjunction with your E-Z Command system. The Bachmann #44212 power pack, available from hobby
retailers, is ideally suited to this application (figure 18).

You can use a Bachmann Item #44212 power pack with the E-Z Command Control Center but not your MRC.
