They've been announced on this board, and Bachmann had samples at the NTS. That sounds like verification to me.
Bachmann had the N scale version sitting next to the HO cars at the NMRA in Anahiem CA. The funny thing is the prototype for these cars where operating less than a 1/4 mile from the convention
