Title: Getting repair parts.
Post by: Mr Mekanik on March 06, 2007, 06:40:48 PM
Just to inquire about getting parts. In January I submitted a service request to get electrical connectors for my Spectrum steam 4-8-2. the Part #'s are, 10168 and 10169. These are to connect the tender and engine. Somehow the wires broke inside the insulating plastic/rubber and the loco did not respond to any command. The only thing working was the headlight. when I would touch the tender I would hear the drive motor hum then it would stop. I have sent 4 requests to Bachmann service department, (one today again) but I have not been able to find out if they can sell those parts, my hobby dealers do not have them in stock, If the service dept. would just tell me they can not help me get these connectors, then I just have to hard wire the loco and tender.
Has anyone have had similiar situations in getting parts? Anyone  know of another supplier of miniature connector? I have tried some on the web I got from Model Railroader Magazine but no help there.
Thanks for any info.

Dear Mr. M,
Call the service department and speak to Bridget, the service manager.
She'll help if she can.
Have fun!
