Post by: bubbadrags on March 07, 2007, 08:04:51 PM
i am running 2 bachmann spectrum steam locos continuly, and then i'll add a gp50 on one loop, one steam engine wiil stall momentary then go again. it isn't consistent with track position. is bacmann ez dcc controller not strong enough? who make a good booster?

Just how many different types of electric motors are there in use for the HO Bachmann range?

It always makes me wonder how it is that reference is made to livery, and as here "GP-50", whereas under the shells it is a Detroit built job.

The more important questions are surely how old is the motor, and what bogie is it in.

Dear Bubba,
I regularly run more than three locomotives when I demonstrate EZ Command, and there have been no power issues. Since we have a 4' x 8' diplay, there are no long trains, however. Our 3 amp booster is a high quality unit, and, if it's a booster you need, it should stand you in good stead.
Have fun!
