Title: Bachmann richmond 4-4-0 decoder can be unplugged?
Post by: lou63 on October 08, 2008, 11:14:43 AM
Can bachmann's richmond 4-4-0 have its DCC decoder unplugged so it can run on DC. If it can be unplugged is there much involved with unplugging the decoder?

yes, the decoder can be unplugged but it has to be replaced with 2 jumpers that are provided with the package.

I assume you are talking about DCC on Board and not one of the engines with DCC and Sound.

If that is corect the engine is a dual decoder so it is not necessary to uplug the DCC decoder. It will sense the DC power and run accordingly.
