Title: Which decoder for the N scale 2-6-6-2 ?
Post by: NKP on October 22, 2008, 08:52:56 AM
I know someone knows the answer to this question, but it's not me!  ???

So, which of the many decoders will drive that Bachmann 2-6-6-2 ?

Will the 44913 do the job or is that one specifically for HO ?

Thanks Everybody!

Hello,

You should be able to use most any of the small N/Z scale wired 2 function no sound decoders in the spot provided for the decoder by Bachmann.

Cool chart with decoder comparison:
http://www.tonystrains.com/productcompare/decoder_comparison.htm

One install:
www.tcsdcc.com/decoderpics/Bachman%20N%20scale%20USRA%202-6-6-2/bachman_n_scale_usra_2_6_6_2.htm

Could check these:

I did a Google search on:  bachmann 2-6-6-2 decoder install

Have fun,
Charles

Thanks so much Charles.

Those are great sites with plenty of data and how to stuff! The list of decoders is very informative.

Thanks Again,

George
