I am saddened to hear the news.
I've been waiting all year to pick up a new holiday train set. I have finally collected all of the Sams Club trains via ebay or help from fellow board posters.
Beautiful trains, all of them. So sad if the North Pole & Southern has reached the end of its' line.

I saw some sets at a local Orchard Supply Hardware store (OSH) in Pasadena Ca, but they were remnant leftovers from last year. So thats going to be a hit and miss source, some may have them, other will not.

Great spotting, I will add it to the historical database right away, kinda pricy at $199 tho. I know several Bachmann collectors who will be sure to buy at least one.
I really appreciate your input, every little bit helps in keeping track of the Bachmann items especially one like the non-cataloged items like this.
I will try to go to BPS and get some close up photos sunday.

Did you do the design & graphics for this one? Is that a drumhead I see on the rear of the caboose?? Is the caboose lighted?? How many were made??
Any other non christmas special sets??
It is certainly a colorful set, Nice job on the loco colors, great graphics on the reefer and caboose!!
