Title: flexi atlas track
Post by: Arthur123 on December 26, 2008, 04:42:37 PM
Any suggestions on how to layout atlas super flexi track as a template before final placement. Also, best way to lay down same track on foam trackbed for final. Thanks for any suggestions...Happy Railroading :)

This information is readily available in any of the books on trackwork published  by either atlas  or  Kalmbach  Publishers at any Hobby Store.

Dear Art,

What is the minimum radius curve you want to use?

If tabletop, what size?  For example: 4 ft x 8ft or 42" x 60".

If around the room or shelf, what is the largest radius curve you want?

What turnouts (make, model) are you planning to use?

Get a wooden yardstick for a trammel, a 1/8" drill and large chunks of cardboard to make your own templates.  The sizes (radii) you would draw and cut depend on your answers to the questions above.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

Dear Joe

Sincere thanks for your suggestions. Been a while since railroading but now back in with my children and loving it. Thanks again. :)

                     Sincerely
