Had to sign in a post in this one. She may be ugly but she's my favorite:

I should add she's alive on the UP...still...And it's 2009! (But she's a long way from home.)

That's not ugly! Just cause it's boxy dosen't men it dosen't look good. Besides anything in Rio Grande looks good. ;D

Matt,
I have 2 Rio Grande GP35, they are great looking locomotives. One of my DVDs has a segment of 17 Rio Grande GP35/40 pulling Tennessee Pass.

My favorites?  For steam it would be my 4 Spectrum Connies with some Roundhouse vintage Rio Grande "Bumble Bees" and SP 2-6-0 running a close second and third.

My favorite diesels are two AC4400 with Genesis drives, one with a Tsunami.  Not enough OOOs in "smooth" to describe them. I can't fit enough cars on my layout to slow them down, awesome power. I plan to get two more next trip to Caboose Hobbies.

My main theme is UP for the coal trains, but my favorite railroad will always be Rio Grande. I recently picked up a couple sets of 50' Overlands in Rio Grande yellow.
