Does anybody know what kind of horn the Burlington Northern 5383 has on it at the Illinois Railway Museum? ;D

Hi Ryan
I think the best source for information would be Tonys Trains, at least in suggesting the proper prime mover.

The folks at Soundtraxx and Litchfield might have information.  Soundtraxx is introducing decoders for GE, current line is mostly EMD. The decoders have as many as 16 different horns, so one should be appropriate.

I spent some time researching but didn't find any reference.  I could take a wild guess and say "Leslie" 1st generation, but GE may have had others for the U series.

Others may have better information.
Good luck

I went to IRM site and noted the IRM was closed till April . I am not sure if that is just the exhibition or the whole operation.  John II.
