I never knew they sold them built up. Walthers sold wood, and stamped passenger car kits. The Piker was sold as a kit that would allow someone to try a Walthers passenger car kit without laying out for a regular kit.
There were two responses to the Piker (and the later Oscar): people either loved them or hated them.
I once visited a club that has a Piker and Oscar being pulled by an MDC box cab diesel. It drew a lot of comments!
thats one of the reasons i want it. I want one for personal use and one for kids when they come. they all ask me can I use that super expensive passenger train. ithink no but sometimes i have to give in. so I want a small little passenger for a small price.
