Post by: Lost Lumber RR on February 22, 2009, 10:50:56 PM

Could someone tell me the width and maximum height of the K27?

Thanks,

Jay

Jay,

Here you go.

Length: 36 inches (measured from tip of road pilot to back edge of tender foot board.)

Width: 6 3/16 inches (widest part is distance between the cylinders.)

Height: 8 1/4 inches (top of stack with spark arrester in place.)

The models with snow plows mounted may be slightly longer.

The width over the cylinders may be the wide point, but for clearance on curves, the rear corners of the cab roof are the critical points.  This will be more evident while backing.  This from experience on an On3 layout with a United K-27, but should be the same.  gj
