Title: Loksound micro in Bachmann 0n30 Baldwin Consolidation ?
Post by: guy_e on March 05, 2009, 04:02:55 PM
Is it permitted to replace the original Bachmann Spectrum 44915 decoder by a ESU loksound micro decoder ? (output power for motor: 0,5 amp continuous) or is this output to small for the motor ?

Thanks in advance.

Guy

The lok-sound micro will not drive the 2-8-0.
If you want Lok-sound use the full size one.

Good Morning,

Let me highly recommend you consider using the full sized Tsunami in your Bachmann 2-8-0.   I have two of the 2-8-0s,  one with the small steam,  the other with the C class steam sound and love them both,  not just for the quality of the sound,  but the overall operation as well.
