Title: Happy Camper !
Post by: boomertom on March 11, 2009, 04:35:49 PM
After having spent a month bemoaning Bachmann's customer service, I was rewarded for my perserverence today.

Steamgene advised Joe in a thread about two locomotives in February to "Use your nickle, call Bridgett". Well as I have unlimited long distance I decided I had nothing to lose so I did.

I got her voice mail, left my information and hoped for the best.

Apoproximatly b30 min. after leaving this message, I received a call from Laura wanting verification of my shipping address etc.

My E-Z Command was/is buried under a pile of packages. Laura is having a new E-Z Command sent to me.

I also received an apology for the delay and have had my faith restored.

Hey Tom, I'm glad you are finally getting a replacement controller.  Let us hope you won't ever have to go through the ordeal again.

:DGREETINGS!! ???So, is this to say that the only way you'll get anything is by NOT calling on their 800 number?? ::)
                                                                                          THANX!!

Ernie,

Until yesterday I had called on the 800 number and consistantly got a very polite representative. The big difference yesterday was twofold:
1. I called on the 215 number and asked for Bridgett.
2. On the 800 call, I expressed my frustration that my E-Z Command had seemingly dropped from the face of the earth in a period of four weeks and was transferred to a supervisor.

As the saying goes, the squeaking wheel gets the grease. I squeaked ! In my case, any way, it seems to have worked.

I wish you good luck in your quest for information, try the direct call, it may get you some answers.

; ;DGREETINGS!! ;) What I don't understand, though, is why you could not have, as easily, simply dialed the 800 number, then Bridgett's extention (I think 2), and gotten the same results at their expense.
Though I think that I have been EXTREMELY patient, since I have heard NOTHING, I'm seriously considering calling daily, beginning Monday, until I get some knowledgable results! :P
Perhaps if I'm still seeking results that are to my satisfaction, which is not that difficult to attain, I'll try your method Wednesday!
Actually, I, too, have unlimited long distance, but there's a chance that if they want to lower their 800 phone bill, they may do so by improving their customer service!! :o
If results are gotten on their 800 number, I'll let you know; if no results are gotten by Wedesday, and I call the 215 number and get results, I'll let you know! ;)
                                                                                               THANX!!

It could, but maybe we expect a lot given the volume of returns they apparently have. It would be interesting to know what the breakdown might be, Spectrum, standard lines power supplies, Williams, etc.

I wonder about quality control but possibly that doesn't translate in Chinese.
