Title: Coupler Help!
Post by: GovB on March 25, 2009, 10:58:21 AM
I have some Delton and LGB Reefers and would like them to match up with my Bachmann locos and rolling stock (both 1:24 & 1:20.3). Went to Kadee web site and still confused. Could someone tell me which Kadee coupler will do the trick? Or is there another answer?

Thanks, GovB ???

KD 831 for truck mount
KD 830 for body mount
Are the usual replacements.
However different applications can apply.

The Delton knuckle couplers should mate up with the Bachmann ones pretty well.

You can also get Bachmann couplers and put them on the LGB cars.  very cheap!

You said you have Bachmann rolling stock in both 1:24 and 1:20.3? Is it possible that you meant 1:22.5 which is the scale of Bachmann's regular rolling stock and has couplers that are truck mounted the same level as LGB and Delton? The reason I ask this is that Fn3 (1:20.3) Spectrum cars are scaled quite a bit larger and have body mounted couplers that are at a different height! Bachmann makes a coupler that is offset so that a body mounted coupler will mate at the same height as a truck mounted one. If that is your problem then this might be your solution.
