i heard the aristo c16 are closer to 1/24 than 1/29...
would a c16 would look out of size with my big hauler passenger and freight cars?
tx in advance
The C-16 is scaled 1:24! It looks like a small engine in front of the 1:22.5 Bachmann passenger cars but not inappropriately so! The C-16 was a small engine anyway and the Bachmann cars are "dimensionally compressed" to a point where they don't look bad at all! I have one and I prefer running the Bachmann cars to the Delton ones (which are 1:24) as they look more like the prototype 3' narrow gauge cars they are modeled after.
Okay, make me drag out my pics again ;)
My C-16's with 3 Big Hauler cars in the consist (a perfect match in my opinion and the same size as Delton/AristoClassic, LGB, and USAT 1:24 cars) -

Nice pictures, thanks for posting them :)
very nice pictures, i will try to get one on ebay...
The Bachmann Classic (1:22), Aristo/Delton Classic and USA American series are all very close in size and will look fine with the C-16. I have plenty of photos of freight trains with varying size boxcars in the consist so the slight variations make it look more real to me, than a string of identical cars from the same manufacturer.
Enjoy.
