if the on30 freight cars where full sized how long would they be in Feet? just need a rough estaminet.

Just measure them. The first O stands for O scale, which is a quarter of an inch equals a foot.

Bachmann's beer reefers are 6' 5/16"s, and would be 25"3" in real life.

This hold true for all the O scale manufactures.

i knew what the O meant i just do not have a car near by to measure now long in Inches to do that math so i figured it would be faster to post here

Purchasing a good stainless steel scale ruler is a great investment!  They come in very handy. :)

An architect's 1/4" scale works wonders.

Just a note -

O Scale is 1/4" = 1 foot (or 1:48) in the US.  In England, O scale is 1:43.5, and in Europe it is 1:45.
