Title: Squeak, squeak, squeak - someone call th' cat
Post by: ceastonoh on May 01, 2009, 10:37:06 AM
Not really a mouse, but several of my tenders are so afflicted and I can't seem to get it to go away? It seems to be mainly on the Hudsons. The 773 squeaks, the Southern squeaks, the B&O does not. Also either the GS4 tender or the N&W, forget which right now.
Anybody else have this problem?
Anybody have a fix?

Charlie

Hi Charlie,

The locomotives are greased at the factory, but not oiled.  The oil tends to run and get on the painted surfaces during shipping.  Follow the lubricating instructions that were included in your loco and you should be good to go.  Steam locos have a lot of moving parts don't forget the lightly lube the rods.
