Title: best sources of detailing parts
Post by: nickco201 on May 24, 2009, 12:54:13 PM
Hey,
I have several locomotives that are in need to some major detailing. Some are aristocraft others are bachmann.  What sources are there for detailing parts ? I've found ozark miniatures, but they really do not have much for the standard side of things. Any other good sources ?

Walther's has a large selection but is frequently out of stock.
I prefer to order from Highball Graphics (http://www.mgdecals.com/homepage.htm), because they have a large selection of parts, mostly in stocks. They have all the major detail parts suppliers like Details West, Details Associates, Cal Scale, Cannon, Kaslo, BLMA, Athabasca, PSC, Custom Finishing, MBE, etc.
The service is excellent as well, and the selection of decals, at least for New England, is exquisite.

Hey thanks for the response
I am primarily looking for parts for Aristo craft and Bachmann steam locomotives to really super detail them.  That link seems to be primarily HO scale.
