Title: Big Hauler motor windings - how many turns?
Post by: rperego on June 27, 2009, 06:46:01 PM
Any one know the number of turns in the Big Hauler motors?

Have some brushed speed controllers I might be able to use but they have limits on the number of turns.

Thanks, Bob

Is this like the question -
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop?

Bob,

I'm a bit confused and also fascinated by your question.  What are you really asking?

I used to rewind motors back in the good ol' slot car days, but now I spec motors and install them in train drives.

Do you want to know the number of turns on an armature pole? or are you looking for rpms?
