HO / EZ TRACK CURVES
January 14, 2010, 10:20:34 PM
I am planning to build a 8X8 table with 18" and 26" curves and I want a 3rd line, what is the maximum curve for a 8X8 layout?

Thanks for answering all of the questions that I have had so far. I have found a RR club in the next town from mine and I am going to go talk to them tomorrow about joining.  Loved trains as a kid and love em even more as a adult with my little boy.

Keep up the good work, this forum is good for the new guys.

Does Bachmann sell rail joiners for the grey roadbed EZ track?

Or would any code 100 rail joiner work?

HO / Turnous for Bachmann EZ Track
January 05, 2010, 11:18:50 PM
Can anyone help me with identifying which turnouts work with what radius track?

I have read that #6 turnouts are better because there is less chances for derailment. So can a #6 turnout be used for 18" radius track?

HO / Suitcase wire connectors for feeders to the bus
December 31, 2009, 10:28:15 PM
Do they work good?

Anyone try them?

Any tips?

Or should you strip the insulation from the bus and solder the feeder to it?

What's the cleanest and easiest way to run feeders to the bus?

New to railroading with my 2 year old son, any ideas will help, thanks and have a Happy New Year.

HO / CHVX ****** tankers
December 31, 2009, 10:22:17 PM
Has anyone ever seen a large tanker car with the CHVX on it? Should be a 6 digit number after the CHVX. At my work we unload liquid wax lubricant from these cars with a pump. The wax lubricant is used for vinyl siding, plastic pipe, vinyl fencing and other plastic applications. If you have ever seen one of these please let me know.

HO / Bachmann Grey Road Bed Feeder Wiring
December 29, 2009, 02:01:45 AM
Hi, I am now new to railroading world, just purchased the HO scale UP merger DCC set and a Norfolk Southern DCC locomotive and I was wondering how the best way to run the feeder wires from the bus to the track on the grey road bed without the wires being to noticable? I am planning to run about 30 to 40 feet of track to the loading area and another 30 to 40 feet back to the town for coal unloading. I need to have enough power to keep the track energized throughout and I was wondering if there was any other items I could buy to provide electricity to te track with out having to wire to the bus every 2-4 sections of the track. I am planning on running two different lines back and forth UP and NS. Maybe a AMTRAK line in the distant future.
