HO / ideas wanted
May 27, 2007, 10:10:58 PM
Hey everyone last night around 10:00pm I tore up a section of my B&O 1920's era layout. ;) The space measures 4'x4' which leaves alot of possablity for a 20's era town. :o any ideas would be greatly appraccated. ;D

the cutty is a specal vessal my grandfather and i built it out of balsa wood from scratch. i was 8 and that was the first model i had ever built besides a kit box car. that was 22 years ago. grandfather made 99% of the super  structure he showed me how to tie the riging and sails. i still have that ship
and when to see it twice once with him and once with my wife and son.

this is correct about the B&O. the PRR has alot of the firsts and the biggest
this railroad saw a lot in its life but then so did the B&O. like them both
and i have relitives that worked on them both during the steam era.

I model 1920s B&O. my locos are two 2-6-0 IHC, 2-8-0, 2-8-2 light mike,
4-6-0 bachmann, 4-4-0 bachmann and a 0-6-0

yes and is that not the part of kitbashing if you can not find the proper part you mod. it or make your own? that is the what is great about this hobby you are not held go to someone elses interpation of how things should be done there are many ways to go about it.

that is true but was his orginal idea not just to mount the body onto the bachmann. now a browser Paducah domes are correct. so he either roll his own or buy one

I may be new to this forum but I am not new to railroading. over 20 years time i can tell you i have done my fair share of bashs. The hallmark (HMK) loco may not be the best canadate for a boiler swap but the you could cut and swap domes and other boiler details.(this would require some kitbashing skill) then theres the diffentices in the icrr's front pilot deck you could take theses details from the HMK or make them or find them.

best of luck

i wouldn't mind a 4-4-2 prr to go along with my 4-4-0 so i would also need to get a ten-wheeler of corse  ;)
