Today I humored the idea of how small a radius my 2-10-2 could do and to my surprise it will traverse 8-9/16" inch radius with ease, better than the spectrum 2-8-0 can

For admirers of the B&O P-7, its dimensions, including driver and cylinder sizes, are essentially the same as those of the PRR K4s, and it even has the same lacy looking valve gear the PRR used. In fact, it's essentially a K4s with a radial stay boiler and 250 psi steam pressure vs. the PRR's 205 psi. All you would really need would be the superstructure, tender, and maybe a slightly altered cylinder block.
I actually looked at doing something like this when Bowser still made K-4s in HO; it was quite amazing to see how close everything was between the two engines, even though they looked quite different.

You're right, not Samhongsa...
I also miss-typed, Erie K5, not K4.
I'll take a nice 2-8-2 as well. As long as they keep churning out N Scale Steam, I'm all for it!
Never hurts to make up a wish list!

Model Power/MRC all-metal line made by Samhongsa in Korea, have been upgraded with DCC and sound. They are good locos, good runners, but all-in-all pale in comparison to the Bachmann offerings lately (PRR K4, 2-8-4).

Didn't the prototype Pennsylvania L1 mikado use the same boiler/cab/tender as the k4 Pacific? Seems like a Pennsy mikado would be a good candidate for a future release...

Rye, I like those D&SL 2-6-6-0s you have on this layout. They look right at home on it, even though way too large (compare them with the siding lengths you have).
I can picture those engines being something Allen might have picked had they come out while he was still alive. The 2-8-2s and 2-8-0s also had that look as well.
In fact, much of D&SL, particularly the original line over Rollins Pass, would look like something Allen would do, complete with those backbreaking 4% grades.
