can anyone please tell me the cheapest place to find open 3-bay 4-bay or 2-bay hoppers??? as i model chesapeake and ohio in 1945-1955 i need many coal hoppers but have a small (pocket change :( sized) budget i need to find an affordable solution

it means from the start to the end of half a complete curve it will measure 22 inches in length.

the only steamers i buy are spectrum because dcc is already installed and they have decent tractive effort.

i strongly recommend modeltrainstuff as well the prices are exellent on most products. eg. spectrum 2-10-2 dcc equip. , 3 microtrains heavy weight sleepers ,odservation car , woodland scenics crates atlas ne-6 caboose and decals for under $280 with shipping to Canada.

i added a spring in the front truck and am going to add bullfrog snot as a replacemant for the traction tires.

you will have to hardwire one in by soldering a decoder in the loco itself

if it was made in HO why not N??? i think personaly that it would be interesting to see this huge loco in N. if it has then please tell me who did. here is a prototype photo of #9029 by Bud Laws.

over the process of several months of using a spectrum 2-10-2 and 2-8-0 i have noticed several issues. number 1, the valve gear tends to loosen over time. number 2, the motor got LOUDER over time (slightly). but after lots of run time and several tweaks here aqnd there they run great. i strongly recommend these locomotives for anyone looking for a cheap yet efficient steam loco fleet.

hi about one hour ago i decided to run my 2-8-0 as i increased the throtle i heard the motors familiar sounds but to my dismay the engine was not moving yet the motor was as was the light on the front can anyone help me get it running again???????????????
