Cameras are like everything else, everyone has a favorite. I always used Canon film cameras but when I wanted a digital for general purpose including railfanning I couldn't afford a Rebel digital at about $750.00.
     I looked around an found the Kodak C140 at Walmart for $89.95. It is an 8.2 Megapixel with 3X zoom. It also comes with rechargable batteries and charger. With a memory card it cost me about $100.00.
     It does still and video and it very easy to use. It takes very nice quality pictures and has good features. Is it a "super" camera, no, but it is an excellent camera for $100.00. I would definitely recommend it.

     I sounds like one of the older base level Bachmanns. It's probably worth about ten dollars. If it has sentimental value or you want practice repair or detailing great, otherwise it's probably not worth putting much time into.

     "Bigger" is one of those terms that will stir up an endless debate. It can mean number of driving wheels, overall length, total weight, tractive effort, etc.. Locomotive manufacturers each had claims to the biggest locomotive using their own standards for judgement. It also can be at the time the locomotive was produced. The Triplexes were built about thirty years before the Big Boys. Lets just say the ones you mentioned are definitely in the largest catergory.

     I would agree with "ebtbob". Bachmann is heavily commited to On30. It is also my understanding that Bachmann is involved behind the scenes already with HOn3 as they buy sound decoders from Soundtraxx and they are the ones doing the design and mold making for Blackstone and the Blackstone equipment is produced in Bachmanns facilities in China. I don't mean to fuel the rumor mill but I heard that at Hartford in July.
     Hopefully people support Blackstone HOn3 like Bachmann On30 and it expands in a similar way over time.

Keep it neat and simple. Make sure everything is visible. Clean doesn't hurt either. Price everything. People are more likely to look at something in their price range. They may not wait to ask you the price of an item if things get busy. It will also save you time not having to tell everyone your prices. On more expensive items like locomotives note any pluses like DCC or any defects like doesn't run. If you have lots of items refill empty spots as items sell. A full table is more interesting. As far as prices go if they are reasonable things will sell faster. Don't forget people can pay new prices anytime on the internet. The only exceptions would be custom or rare items. Lots of luck.

     I see these as kits and already built for sale at train shows a lot. Usually about $5.00 each.
     I saw a 100 plus car train of these operate at a model RR club open house in Mass. a couple of years ago. Very impressive. I love long trains.

The "High Line" was recently mentioned on an episode of "Life After People" on the History Channel. They said it has become almost completely overgrown with weeds, bushes and small trees. It also has a lot of birds and small animals living on it. You can barely see the tracks anymore. This would definitely make an interesting contrast on an urban layout.

     I own one of the new 45 Tonners with DCC on board. They are excellent. The detail is very good and they run very well. They only pull a few cars but so did the prototype. They were not mainline power. I also have a 44 Tonner, 70 Tonner, an FT A & B set, two Shark (RF-16) sets and a GP-38. All the new style with DCC on board. People are very impressed when they see them operate at train shows. They are suprised to hear they are Bachmann. I think they are the best buy on the market today, and way underated. Other manufacturers may offer fancier decoders with functions that most guys don't use and sound (which I personally don't want) but they also are much more expensive. I don't think You will be disapointed.

Go to "boltdepot.com". They have charts and tables to identify what you are looking for. All you will need is a set of calipers.
