Any idea if the new trucks will be backward compatible with the older Climax?  I'd love to purchase new trucks for my older Climax.  Do you know if Bachmann Ind. will offer just replacement trucks?

Thanks,

Paul Torrey
Great Idea!!
I second that!!

I got to pull it around with my 0-4-0 side tank porter.
This time I did not need a idle car.
So YA it was worth doing.   8)

pea gravel

This might be the wrong stone to use for balast....not enough sharp enges to hold together.
Try using stone dust/granet dust ,   holds up well when you add Tyte-Bond III .
Good luck

Thomas and Percy are wired wrong , for Large Scale.
This was noticed a while back.   ::)

POLARITY

For those that have yet to notice, Thomas is wired to be NMRA Standard S-9 polarity compliant.

Now why did Bachmann do that?

It will be a simple matter to reverse the power wires attached to the motor to convert to Large Scale polarity should polarity be an issue.

Large / Repair to truck cover.
February 25, 2010, 09:08:21 AM
Has any one used JBWeld to repair a broken corner on the cover plate to the truck? ???
One of my corners broke off so I used JBWeld to fabricate a new corner.
I will have to redrill the holes.
Looks like it might hold up.    ;)

It was the yoke  that was attached to the u joint in the upper right corner of you're pic.  ;)

I ordered two (just in case) and wouldn't you know the other one broke as I was looking @ it.  :o
It came with a small pin that just seems to push in.   :-\
Do I put some Ca on it?  ???
