Large / Idea for Large Scale
November 23, 2009, 07:57:36 AM
Mr. Bach-man, can you please pass along the suggestion to make the locomotives in the Big Haulers sets available in separate sale? And make an ET & WNC Freight (Using a the Mountaineer locomotive)? Thanks, Alex Butner

Large / Bachmann Summit Pass Review
November 22, 2009, 01:30:06 PM
I received my Summit Pass train set on Thursday and I have to say that I am impressed with Bachmann. This is the most reliable and fun large scale train I have ever owned. This train looks great, runs great, and has a wonderful paint scheme. I am impressed Bachmann, keep up the good work! Another thing is that this train is so fun and will eventually be running on a larger loop and I have to say that the smoke output is good. Thanks for making G-scale fun!

How about a Big Haulers 4-4-0, more road names for the coaches, more variations of track, and track expansion packs?

How about Tsunami sound fitted into Anniversary and Big Haulers trains as a standard feature? Please? Thanks.

Large / Re: G scale Railbus
October 29, 2009, 03:37:41 PM
Why not make both? The only problem I would see with the M-1 rail bus is that it could require massive curves and I am an indoor modeler. Otherwise, it's a great idea.

Large / G scale Railbus

Hey Mr. Bach-Man, could you ask Bachmann if they could make a Large scale version of the On30 rail bus? That would be nice if you could pass it to them. Thanks.

Large / Re: North Pacific Coast RR No. 12 Sonoma 4-4-0
October 27, 2009, 11:33:44 PM
I'd love to see the Sonoma in G-scale. It would look great, but it's not the right train for me since I'm limited to 4 foot curves and maybe 5 foot curves.

Large / Re: Bachmann track
October 27, 2009, 12:10:26 AM
The track is not meant to be used outdoors. It is track for indoor layouts and should be left inside. If you want to use track suitable for outdoors, use Aristo-Craft or LGB. I have heard countless people say not to use Bachmann track outdoors. If you can weather-proof it then you could use it. Sorry if I ruined your fun, but it'll save you from destroying track. Thanks for asking, you will find many answers soon. Good luck!

On30 / Is the Glenbrook Valley set discontinued?

I am wondering about the ON30 Glenbrook Valley set, is it discontinued, going to be discontinued or is it going to stay? Thanks.

Large / Questions about the Pioneer Set
October 19, 2009, 11:46:08 AM
I was reading my 2009 Catalog, and I saw that the picture of the Pioneer loco showed a plastic bell. Does it have a fifth generation chassis, metal bell, and the same features as the fifth generation Big Haulers? EDIT: I found out that the Pioneer does have a metal bell.

Large / Re: ID the Reefer!
October 19, 2009, 11:41:33 AM
That is definitely a USA Trains reefer. You can tell because it is smaller than Bachmann reefers and USA Trains reefers are skinnier. Also, Bachmann has not made an Anheuser-Busch reefer for the Big Hauler line. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Large / Questions about the Big Top Circus Set
October 15, 2009, 05:51:45 PM
Mr. Bach-man, is the Big Top circus set still in production? Is it discontinued? If it is discontinued, can you please ask for it to be brought back into production? I like it a lot and it would be nice to see it again. I know that they are still for sale, but I just want it to stay in the product line because it would be a good set to collect some day. Thanks.
