I have the same problem with my ho bachmann 2-6-2 only the thumping is when it is in reverse. please help us anyone.

it is not even designed with one and the rail don't all rcieve power so even powering the one on each side won't power the middle rails resulting in a stopped loco.

i just think people should know that the crossing i have which i believe is 20 degrees nd is made for ez track is the only bachmann product that doesn't work. it doesn't put power to the other side and even with it in  a loop it has a huge dead spot making my small locos stop. other than that i jove this company but that prodduct desn't seem to work.

really? I HAD a bachmann hogwarts express and when it derailed and took a nose dive it had som boo boos and i got new copolars, and a new shell.

i need 2 parts for my percy. i got him 2 years ago and one coupler is gone, and  the top of his stack is gone. actually, it went into my thomas who lost his. one of my two trouble some trucks has a damaged coupler and my annie is missing  one buffer. just to clarify by top of his stack i mean the glued in insert to the otherwise pure straight stack. anyone knowwhere to get the parts?

oops yeah i am thinking of some bachmann set with two santa fe locos and a figure 8 track arrangement, think it was discontinued.

this may sound stupid but the thunderbolt came with 2 of them. One was not powered and one was.

it is at non dcc the sites price was $114 nut dcc jumped it up to $159 i haven't checkked lately but sound should bring it up more.

nickel silver has way better conductivity and as far as i can tell doesn't oxidize as fast or as bad. i am sometimes stuck sanding the steel alloy and it still doesn't work as well. i mix but when i bought the nickel silver track pack for expansion of my layout i used the left over track to replace a lot of the steel track on my layout. great idea to use it wherever possible.

do you know if that 2-8-0 will run on dc?

thanks, i wish that there was an easier way but thats life. i don't have dcc, too expensive instead i block section my dc layout but what yo are doing sounds cool.
