Hi Ed,

Unfortunately parts for all of the brass locomotives have been used up many years ago. However, since these are scale locomotives, you should be able to use brass detail parts from any company.  I did not look at their catalog in detail, but you may find what you need at http://www.precisionscaleco.com/

Guys,

That is EXACTLY why we have made both.  Feedback has shown that both are liked.

Hi Rodger,

It is typically done mid April at he TCA Eastern Division show.  If it is sooner, we will announce it here, in addition to emails that we send to members.

Joe,

We were originally going to make an electronic version of the 622/6220 bell ringer. Then we got the single sound board design from OTT machine services and it sounded better than what we were working on, so we decided to use it.  It was an extremely tight fit, but we made it work.

Dear ajminco,

The first production run of NW-2s were equipped with True Blast I and they only had a bell.  If you have the original box, the label should indicate with Digital Bell, or with Digital Horn & Bell if it is the newer version (True Blast II).  Another way to tell is if the bell rings for 8-10 seconds and then stops, then you have the original version.

Just because we have not made your favorite paint scheme does not mean we do not listen. We have made many items suggested by customers. There are thousands of items to model aan we can  only make a handful each year. If we hear the suggestion from multiple sources it is more likely to be produced.

Lee is correct about undecorated versions, but not about fancy paint schemes; we have produced many fancy paint schemes.

There have been several designs on the SuperStreet Vehicles. The E-Z Street vans that we have made require that you remove the front pick-up roller to get to the front mounting screw. The rear mounting screws are straight forward.

Guys,

Only the older brass locos and the new 4-6-0s have an on/off switch for smoke output.

Yes Jbrock,

Wiring to the output is an easier solution. I just wanted to add an illustrated link.

Steve,

If the power pack works otherwise, you can add a polarity switch to the output. You will need a double pole double throw switch (aka DPDT). this link shows how to wire it. http://m.instructables.com/id/HOW-TO%3A-Wire-a-DPDT-rocker-switch-for-reversing-po/

Dear All,

When we say that an item will navigate a curve size, it is the minimum recommended size.  The SD90 WILL NOT run on O-27 curves without modification.

As a general rule if a locomotive is 14 inches or shorther, it will run on O-27 track.  Larger than 14 inches requires at least O-31.  The SD90 is almost 18 inches long.

Fred and Lee,

Williams already made the Big Boy locomotive TWICE.  Once in 1987 and once in 1995 (with sound). Other manufacturers have made them as well. These models are frequently sold on eBay for a fraction of their original price.  The MSRP was 1299.95 on the first production and $1499.95 on the second.  I just did a completed auction search and several of them sold for $600 and lower.

This model is 36" long and has a very limited market in O Scale, so there will be no plans to make any in the foreseeable future. 72" curves are a minimum and they still have a huge overhang.
