And like always the Japanese always have it best. Seems we have more S20 coming earlier than UK/US.

I'm talking about episodes that take place within the special. Like "Toad's Bright Idea" taking place in the middle of "TOTB."

If we get episodes that focus around the TGR continuity, then it might salvage the lackluster aspects of the special.

While some would state that the larger the scaling, the higher the cost of a locomotive. I'm sorry to say that modelling often gets even more expensive as scaling gets reduced as well, there are reasons why HO (or OO in UK terms) is generally the most marketable scale in the Model train industry. Pricing is easily negotiable in HO, compared to other gauges.

The Arlesdale Engines would be made in Z scale obviously enough. However, if you find, or perhaps google an average Z scale Diesel locomotive, the most reasonable RRP would be around $200-$250, if not $300. Probably, one if the reasons why modelling a scale smaller than HO is expensive is that they must require intense precision to make a Z scale locomotive, and this is a diesel loco we're talking, which are cheaper than their steam counterparts.

So like I said in my last post, considering that a handful would argue over Skarloey being too expensive for his size, I could imagine what the RRP would be for the Arlesdale Engines

Bear in mind that if Bachmann made Arlesdale Engines, they might be around $250-$300. Considering the pricing of an NG Engine, I wouldn't be surprised what the RRP would be for Mike, Rex or Bert.

Alright look before things get hostile

Let me say that while all the classic characters haven't been finished, at least almost all of them are.

Second of all...

Come on Sparks what you got against Rosie?

He's right, Rosie is the best post 7th Season character ever made. >:(
Why is it that you often get upset, whenever you say something on this board? Going by your recent feed.

While it's good to see that there's alot of fans that would at least welcome Rosie into open arms, maybe not here on the fourm, but on the outside. However, you can't get upset if there's people that dislike one of your favorite characters. Anything you like/support is always gonna have an opposition.
For example, there's people that actually hate Stepney, as well as those with Hiro.  ::)
No one is against Bachmann making post-S7 characters, but compared to Rosie, it seems that there's people out there that would consider other characters outside outside the classic era, like those from the CGI era, that they would find more appealing, mostly due an individual's personal taste.

Just saw the majority of the movie on Youtube. Very unusual film that feels like a unique departure from the normal specials. The other diesels even get bigger spotlight this time.

Maybe time to reconsider a Bachmann Sidney, Norman and Paxton model?  ;)

The international characters have fantastic designs, and they would make great models, as well as kitbashs. But it seems that most are one-offs, quite a shame really.

Perhaps, a Bachmann Ashima? :) ::) ;)

Considering that we have Oliver and most of the classic characters are done anyway, I'm pretty good.
However, this is a personal preference, but as long as we get Hiro, then I really won't care what they throw out for the HO/OO range.

I think the delay with Oliver would have to with his scaling. I bet if they went with his model scaling it would violate the NMRA standards, as someone in another thread pointed out, which is the reason why we won't be getting the laughing van as seen in "A Close Shave." Oliver's TV model is overscale compared to his real-life basis.
I bet if they went with CGI scaling, it would be impossible to incorporate that eye-mech gimmick. So I think it might be somewhere in between.

Found this picture on Twitter from a Japanese Thomas modeller.
Bachmann Toad with Hornby Oliver to give a reference.

One thing I would like about S20 is how  we could get episodes that would focus on events in the middle of SLOTLT, such as Ryan running Thomas' branch, or perhaps builtup of the Railway Show, maybe give some continuity in the middle of TGR that could focus specifically on the international engines.

Hey Chaz and Metal,Those coaches are out of this world!!!!wow!!!!!However,I only have 18" radius curves so that might not look too good.I will keep dreaming!!!
UPTODAY
Actually the coaches and big engines like Gordon and Henry are able navigate 18" radius curves with no problems. :)

If they would consider revisions, perhaps they could redo Henry's tender as well.

Since Bachmann has discontinued their Express Coaches, I have the Hornby ones instead.

Here's my Express Coaches

Gordon's Express Coaches

James' Express Coaches

Spencer's Special Coaches

All by Hornby

As you could see how well they go nicely.
With Gordon

I know they're called James' Express Coaches, but I perfer them more with Henry, plus he was seen more often with them than James in the show.

With Spencer

Considering that Bachmann has discontinued their Express Coaches, the Hornby ones could serve as great alternatives. The coaches also by Chaz work nicely as well.
