Guys,

We typically make new roadname announcements in the catalog, which comes out in mid February.  New Product Announcements are made in April at the TCA show.  Feel free to make suggestions, but be aware we look at past sales history and other factors for roadname selection, so your favorite may not be always be a viable option.

Guys,

Sets may be a possibility.

Lee,
Any power supply 8-18 volts will work AC or DC.  The vehicles are equipped with a bridge rectifier so they will always run forward.

General Discussion / Re: International postage
August 06, 2013, 12:09:23 PM
Dear All,

Let's make this clear.  There are two web stores.  Parts web store and products web store.

Parts.
On July 28 the United States Postal service made changes to their rates AND names of their services.  So for  Wounded Bear this was before the change was made. They issued 10 days notice to users of their web based rate look-up.  This has required programmers to make changes to the shopping cart program and this new code is in the debugging process.  This is a temporary situation and it will be resolved as soon as possible. We will continue to sell parts outside the United States.

Products webstore
Right now we are selling to US and Canada through this webstore.  We can do this because of the reasons explained above.  Once we can configure the program to accept selected merchandise to specific countries, we we move forward to sell the items worldwide that can be sold according to our agreements.

Dear All,

Regarding Parts.: Due to changes in the United States Postal service rate server, we are experiencing problems and cannot calculate foreign shipping rates.  We are working to resolve this problem and apologize for the inconvenience.  We can still accept orders via telephone at 215-533-1600 for orders outside the United States.

GG1,

You asked why we do not ship outside the US from our webstore.  There are two reasons for this. The first one has to do with power requirements.  Our power supplies come with 110 v transformers.  The other reason is licensed products.  We are only allowed to ship items like Chuggington, Thomas and Friends, and Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey to specified areas that are covered by our agreements.  The shopping cart program that we use does not easily allow us to set "rules" that will automatically control where we can ship specific items.  We are working on modifying the programming, but this is going to take some time to complete this task.

Large / Re: ATLANTA TRAIN SHOW

Hi dgtrrco,

Our primary purpose to attend any train show is to display and demonstrate our products. We are also happy to answer questions and give away catalogs. Our dealers attend shows to sell product and we do not wish to compete against them. Most of our dealers would have gladly taken your order and shipped you the product after the show. Our product line contains around 2,000 different items so it is virtually impossible to have every item at a show.

671,

the only problem that you are going to have with using the guts from the EP-5, is that there will not be screw holes for the ladder mounts.  You could drill and tap, or epoxy them on to the truck.

Lee,

You are right, I assumed that the shell was already off because this is usually the first step in any repair.  Oops! ;D

Hi Ken,

You will have to remove the truck from the frame to get to the screws that hold the sideframes on to the truck.  There is one screw on the bottom of the truck.   Unscrew this screw and the truck will separate from the motor.  Tighten the loose screw(s) holding on the sideframe. Reinsert the worm gear into the truck and rotate the flywheel by hand until you see the wheels move on the truck.  This indicates that the gears are meshing properly.  Hold the truck and motor in this position and tighten the truck screw.

Fred,

Actually you can lock it in reverse.  You have to read the directions! You first have to get the engine running in reverse and move the switch to the lock postion within 5 seconds.  It will not lock it in reverse forever, but it will last for most operating sessions.

Williams original name, in which it was incorporated, was Williams Reproductions, LTD.  The primary focus of the company was to make reproductions of highly collectible items.  No Lionel molds were ever used. Mr. Williams always made new molds for any reproduction item.  The only molds that Mr. Williams purchased second hand were the F7 A unit and the mold set to make the 40' Box car, Reefer Car, and Stock car.
