So Yardmaster how do you turn the bell on? Does CV 130 need to be set higher or do you need to use another CV? - Thanks John

Do you have more than one set supply feeders to the track? If there is, maybe one set is reversed. - john

Joe, If I understand your description of your layout, it is shaped like a dogbone,  O==O, There isn't any reverse polarity. Have you tried without any auto reversers. - John

I have 2 of these locos. There is a smaller board piggybacked on top of the main board located on the front or coal bunker end of of the tender. The sound module is plugged in on the undrside of the piggybacked board. I had mine apart to repair the plug between tender and loco. When I put it back together I plugged the module on top of the board and nothing worked. I thought I had messed up the plug. I opened up the other tender and discovered the sound module was upside down. After a reset everthing worked ok. Hope this sounds like the one you have and this helps. - John

Do you have the sound module plugged in the top of the board or the bottom of the board?

Roger, Increasing the value of CV3 didn't slow the acceleration? -John

Have you tried increasing the value of CV 3 ? If not, try increasing it to 75 or even 100. Just play around with the the number till you get what you like. What about your braking rate, CV 4? If the reset causes your engine to stop too fast, try setting CV 4 to 15 or so till you get what you like. Hope this solves your problem. - John

Doneldon, What are the odds of one of those 30,000 knowing where you placed the marking or even claiming the loco belongs to them. - John

Use the last four digits of your SS number. They will never change, it's short, and your not compromising private information. -John

There isn't a spring under the lead truck on the 2 that
I have. The weight of the truck keeps it on the track. I haven't had any derailment issues. Try removing the spring and see how it works or add a little more weight to the truck. By the way it was Rich that sent the last help.  -  john

After looking at your photos I opened up my tender to refresh my memory. I have a sound module that plugs into the main board. But the module is upside down with the capacitor bumps the bottom. This is opposite from the way the module plugs into the EM-1. I had taken the tender apart and when I put it back together I plugged the sound module in with the capacitors  facing up like the EM-1. The engine was dead. In trying to trouble shoot the problem,  I plugged the module upside down on the board and every thing ran perfect. The module is upside down due to lack of space in the upper part of the vandy tender. Why not try  plugging the adapter upside down and see what happens. - john

Is the sound module plugged in on top side of the electronics board or the underside of the board? If it's on the top side try plugging it in to the underside of the board. -john

Brian, I've been thinking about doing the same thing. What are the dimensions of your layout? My layout is 8'X20'. I was thinking of 4 light fixtures but I may need 6 or more.

Thank you Joe, but no, this does not really help.
As I have stated previously, there is no MENARD'S anywhere near me.
Why don't you order the cork on line and have it delivered?
