I agree with sparks on the sound Percy, but I don't know about boco or daisy, it would be nice, but they haven't been seen for years, but then again if bear was released by the other company, then there's a chance of them being released by bachmann. :)

Diesel is a demonstrator of the class 08 switcher, Bill and Ben belong to a different company in the books ( they have numbers in the books) but they belong to STH, Emily has no number because the origanal model makers never put on a number,  I guess you could use the first letter in their name like D for diesel but Bill and Ben might need some thinking ( Bl for Bill and Bn for Ben?)

Yeah, I would seem stafford wouldn't sell that well, that's why I put a question mark next to his name as well as bear's. but I agree with Winston and Rosie being introduced, they have plenty of character and haven't been made commercially as scale models yet, and as you mentioned earlier, it gives us...A SCALE SIR TOPHAM HATT!!! ;D

Thomas & Friends / Re: Thomas Memories
August 15, 2013, 10:41:00 PM
I remember having the RWS read as bedtime stories, and playing with my wooden trains while watching my VHS'

and my favorite episode then and now is "Buzz Buzz"

I also remember getting lionel G scale thomas for my birthday one year and a bachmann HO set for Christmas a few years later

But one of my favorite moments was my first layout being conscructed and finished while recieving Percy and my first non Thomas diesels.

I thought the idea of a collapsable brakevan would be interesting, but it would be too expensive to produce ( I based the idea on a lionel item i bought at a show that also collapses), I agree with you ModelTrainFan538 that winston would be a great model to produce, and the addition of toad would make add another brakevan to the range ;D, I'm also surprised that nobody suggested stafford at all, but who knows?

I'm hoping to make the old mainline coaches soon, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should
do?

I would like to see

Engines:
Oliver
Paxton
Winston
Staford?
Bear?

Rolling stock:
Red coaches
Express coaches
Ventilated van
Giggling troublesome truck
Spiteful brakevan(that can collapse)

Non-rail:
Sir Topham Hatt's car
Trevor
Bulgy

Buildings:
Steam works
Diesel works
Knapford station expansion pack

LS
Edward

I do doubt that all of this would be made in one year and maybe some not at all but gradually would make sense.

PS: if Oliver and toad are announced, what if they could be sold together? ;D

Your best bet is to use the body kits for the talyllyn engines, and pick the face of your choice, but be warned that they don't come with a chassis, so you have to find the best fit. :)

On the plus side Derek is a good character on "Tales From the Other Railway" :)

I enjoyed the film as a kid, but I would've changed it up a bit, if you could, how would you change it?

I would've kept to the origanal script and put more characters (ie Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, Bill, Ben, Stepney, BoCo, Daisy, NG engines, diesel, etc) in, filmed the model stuff in England,  used Edward's old model to keep him in the story, and put the live action stuff to a minimum.

My account will have a Thomas parody series ( but each 4 part episode will be a "rws book"), Thomas reviewing his own episodes, some reviews by the train buff, and film reviews by the random critic, and some sketches, vlogs, etc,  but I haven't set it up yet.

Thomas & Friends / Re: The Layout Thread
August 07, 2013, 10:27:33 PM
I am planning a new layout that is based from plans from an old MR, it's a small logging layout ( but not Misty Island ) that I'll take to expositions and run, so it'll be small, I will try to post photos when building it though, so keep an eye out. ;)

BTW DinoNTrains, Your layout looks amazing, great job!  :)
