Thanks Jim, good ideas as usual. Where did you get the micro switches? At Radio Shack. Do they have a specific #? Are you getting cold yet and are you having snow? Thanks. Larry

HO / leds on a your panel

I was wandering how you would wire red and green leds on a panel to show how a switch is turned under a mountain; I know switches under a mountain is a no, no, but had no choice without a lot of modification. I have atlas and peco under the table switches. What type of Leds do you use; how do you wire them; and do you have to use resisters; and what ohm resister would you use? A lot of questions but I thought I would as the experts, especially Jim Banner. Hope to get some good ideas. Thanks for your input. Larry

Roger what size turntable are you using? Is that a 90'? Who's roundhouse are you using? What size of area are you using? A lot of questions but I am just in the process of getting my roundhouse area started. Is there anything I need to keep in mind building the benchwork size? You already did it so I thought you might have positives and negatives I should watch for. Thanks. Larry

That is so funny, but what makes it so funny I did the same thing when wiring push button switches. I sure do appreciate your input. Larry

Thanks for showing the pictures. When you get the indexed Walthers turntable does it tell you how to get the turntable to stop at each of the designated tracks no matter how many you have? I have never put in a turntable so this is a first for me and I have many questions and very little answers. Thanks to all who respond. Larry

Will a walthers 90' indexed turntable match up with an atlas roundhouse with two added 3 stalls making it a total of nine stalls?

Thanks Chuff-and-puff. If you got any more good tips as you use the wireless pass them on and I will do the same. I am really enjoying not having to plug in with a tether. It is really neat just to walk around your layout with your wireless handheld. Have a great day. Larry

Sheldon did you use a air compressor as your compressed air source? What pressure did you use if you did. I understand the dust problem and your idea sounds great. Thanks Larry

Kevin did you get the foam at Michael's craft store? I am going to try it and thanks for the help. I was just wandering where you got it that thin. Thanks Larry

Kevin, where did you put the foam exactly. Could you explain just a little more in detail what you did. I sure would appreciate it very much. Larry

I asked a question about the lights on the Bachman Geeps and that question was answered. I have one more question. On the Bachman Geeps at slow speeds they make a lot of noise. After you speed them up they become more silent. I like to run my trains slow and was wandering if their are any upgrades or something else I could do to make them run silent at slow speeds. As always thanks for your in put. Larry

Thanks for the tip. I just purchased the MRC wireless system and that tip will illimate some confusion. So far I think it is great and am enjoying it very much. How about you? Have you learned any other tidbits that will make running the system helpful. Larry

Exactly what do you recommend to replace the Bachman lights? What are they called and can you get them at Radio Shack? How hard are they to replace? Just some more input would be very helpful. Thanks. Larry
