hi,i have a 55 ton shay,the front smokebox door hinges are both broken,can i get thefront of the firebox as a seperate part,including the door,it is the painted unlettered version,or can i get one second hand,any ideas,thanks,peter..

hi guys,my 2cents from auzzie,i hope that kader do buy lgb,i guess we all have some of these,both units are tough,bachmann at the moment over here is good value,if the buy lgb,we all benifit,one way or another.

i dont think its all there fault,due to the credit crunch,money must be spent wisley,take that any way you like,putting money into new products,thats all good

hi,regarding the axle,gear,bachmann sent me one for nothing,as i live in aussie,maybe just lucky,but an easy fix for a great loco,good luck,i agree 50.00 is way to much,is any after market people making the axle gearassy,check it out,peter

this year has been great for g gauge modelers,new locos,rolling stock,now i read that sanda kan will be in the hands of kader,that will be even better,maybe a broader range,as we all know what brands they make at present,again,great news from a great maker of fine products,these opions are mine,may not be for all,but in australia we have freedom to speak,well done,i will continue to support the hobby as much as i can,cheeers,peter

hi,are you sure the battery is in the tender properly,pos to pos ,neg to neg,the sound does not have a whistle,just steam chuff sounds,the smoke unit runs on the loco track power,there is a switch behind the smokebox door,is there any sound at all,also the rechargeable 9 volt batterys are cheaper over the long run,buy 3,4 a ni-cad charger,and your set,good luck,hope this helps,peter

hi ,isthere any tricks to getting smoke units out of the shays boiler,this has had 12 months work,now its died,i think an article was done a while back in garden railways about an lgb,circuit board etc,any ideas,ill keep looking thru the mags to find the article,thanks guys,peter

hi there chaps,i have been thinking that on30,might be the way for a smaller outdoor layout,any ideas,or suggestions on track,and does any one have any sound samples,of the bachmann locos with the factory sound,i cant seem to find any,im ok with large scale,but not up with on30,any help is great,thanks,peter in auzzie

hi tac,thanks for the info,not to upset bachmann,but i had a hunch that there was on some units,i think the later units,0-4-0 had upgraded gears etc,ok theres a couple of climax units,i might go with them,see what goes,thanks for the reply,peter.. ps this 242 was coal creek,is it still the same gears?
