With all the grades and curves I think On30 would be excellent, imho.

As far as quality goes, over the last almost 30 years, I have purchased many, many of their large scale locomotives, shays, climaxes, heislers, rod locos, 45 tonners, davenports, etc., including their first radio controlled 4-6-0.  They have all run perfect out of the box and I have not had to have any repairwork done. Can't do much better than that!

I agree with Bill.  If there was a market for the Aristocraft loco's, then why did they go out of business?

The track you saw going around the planter was made by Aristocraft, it was four sections of 15 !/2" radius track that made the 31" diameter circle with their standard code 332 rails and ties.  A couple of years ago I sent you pix of my layout using this track. My Bachmann 45 ton diesels worked fine on this using Kadee couplers and the Davenport worked as well.

On30gn15,
I made a new walkway, out of styrene plastic laminated to 1/8" plywood, the same width as the Bachmann 45 ton diesel and attached it to the frame of the MTH VO 1000 switcher. The 45 ton body just fits over the top of the MTH electronics and sound system.
