I'll check that is level.  I have it hooked to the #4 track.  It worked fine for 2 years and suddenly went dead.

HO / Remote Crossover Turnouts
January 11, 2013, 10:50:49 PM
I have two remote crossover turnouts and when my DCC controlled engines go over them the engine either stops for a second or two or it will stop altogether.  What am I doing wrong or what did I miss.   Thanks

HO / Bachmann motorized turntables

I purchased a Bachmann turntable about four months ago and it has been working great.  Yesterday only the main line coming into the turntable and the turning platform had power.  All the other sidings were dead and when the turning platform was lined up with one of these sidings it no longer had power.  Has anyone experienced anything like this and how did you fix it.  Thanks

HO / HO wheel sets
November 15, 2011, 09:05:41 PM
Most of my cars are at least 50 years old and badly in need of new wheel sets.  I purchased a small pack of Branchline Blueprint 33" standard tread and they worked great.  However, I need enough for over 50 cars so I purchased a bulk set of Exactrail 33" but they fall out of the trucks.  So guys what am I missing here?

HO / Branchline wheels
November 07, 2011, 08:12:11 PM
A lot of my cars are old (50+) and have been in storage.  I have decided to replace the wheels on some of the cars that have been derailing.  The hobby store recommened Branchline Trains Blueprint wheels.  I put them on two of the cars and when I put them on the track (Bachmann EZ track) it shorts out the whole system.  What am I doing wrong. Package says turned metal, Non-magnetic and insulated.

Does anyone know if there is a good roundhouse kit that works with the Bachmann turntable?
I know that the degrees between the tracks is important.

So I took everyones advice and spent Saturday morning taping up possible contact points.  I also watched the engine run over the turnout.  Here is what I saw.  As the engine passes over the turnout it stops when the lead drive wheel passes over the plastic frog (?) and touches the metal rail.  At that time the second drive wheel is still touching the metal rail on the other side of the plastic frog.  I can move the engine forward a quarter of an inch and it runs fine.  Now this is on one of my mainlines and the engine passes over 5 other turnouts with no problem.  Also it stops when going straight.  When I ran it on the curve part of the turnout there was no problem.  Also when it stops it shorts out the whole system.  Any ideas?
