model # 85009 has a catalog for 2003 if that helps I have a feeling its DC I'll  take it apart tonight if I have time

its a dash 8  does not say anything on the box would it say on the loco?

If a Spectrum diesel comes in the newer larger box but does not say DCC on board in the upper right corner, is it DCC ready or a regular DC

Hello, It  looks nice my only concern is does it come with the plastic case around it (like the spectrum) or cardboard box only? sometimes the handrails get bent with just the box

Does anyone know if the Bachmann DCC sd40-2 is a standard model or a plus?  I see it has painted handrails but can't see any other decals

Do the new Bachmann locomotives need to be lubed before running for the first time?  it does not say anything on the sheet.
