HO / Re: Digitrax help please

Ive tryed things on dcc, every thing programs ok. Tried dc on test track. Nope . Its gonna be remove things in circuit till it moves. New train - check fuse- just twist wires together, check switch - just jump that - nope. Check relay - bypass that too. Remove every thing and hook direct to the rail no decoder. Send the full 17 volts and perhaps that might make it move. I been working on this for a couple years. I cant understand why digitrax says tru backman its there train. Backman says its digitrax. The big chain store in mlps has 1 guy that works 1 day a week some times - he is incharge for 2 locations. I apolgise for asking for help on this. I will stick to semi trucks and bobcats to fix - i went to school for that. Happy 2026 everybody.

Getting things closer to figured out. Have a dt 100 control hooked to universal reciever ur91 thats hooked todb150, have a ps515 ckass 2 supply and a 6607 transformer. I repaired track that runs room to room in celing after a accident involveing a car going through wall in garage.I have voltage at tracks. I have new and other engines im trying to get going. New has decoder installed. Able to set location, cv65,66,67 on a program track. All selected and read good. How do i dispatch the train and others? I think im supposed to dis connectthe dt100 from the ur91 and hook to db150. I can only run 1 engine at a time and wuestion do i really need a confusing dcc set up. Used to be able to plug a teain in and move transformer one way or other and it worked. I get that the sounds and effects are cool but for now the nephue who drove through garage years ago wanted to see the train go around the room for xmas. Well maybe this new year?

HO / Re: Dcc ready 8 pin

I was confused as far as where the board gets power from with 2 wires to motor and 2 what looks like to smoke and light. Ohm meter shows connection through mount screws on board fastner to wheels. Each svrew shows the resistance and each reads .01 ohm to rt wheel and .14 to left. They reverse when checking the other mount screws Bachkmann says i need a pcb board. Can i use existing board a just connect wires like jward says.

HO / Dcc ready 8 pin

Trying to help cousin out. Got a new bachmann no 50712 ho usra 0-6-0 steam and light. Dcc ready. Im reading its a 8 pin decoder. From what i read more is there is a blank plug thats pulled out and a new plugged in. Im told that a sdh167d digitrax can be used with a 9 pin adapter. After opening things up i find a circuit board with 2 wires to light and 2 that go to motor. I see no blank plug to remove and plug in yet the decoder looks like its all wires to be soldered.
