Hi. I was looking at N scale xmas set and one states 34"x24" oval configuration. Am I locked into those dimensions, or is it possible to make a proportionately smaller design?

General Discussion / Newbie- question about track layout size

I was looking at a set with the following description: "34" x 24" oval of nickel silver E-Track® including 11 pieces curved track, 4 pieces straight track, and 1 curved plug-in terminal rerailer." My question: must I stick to that size? Can I make the layout 34x14 or some other variation? Am I locked to that size?
