Yep, out of gauge wheelset.I had an FT and a GP  40 that did that, I used a pair of long needle nose pliers to put the wheels back in gauge and no problems since. You need a wheelset gauge to make sure you get it right. LHS will have one...or....try using a piece of good track, like Atlas, it's a jury rig way to do it but it will do till you can get a gauge.

I Dullcote EVERYTHING! locos, rolling stock,buildings and figures .
It helps the overall appearance of the Plasticville stuff,  but the best idea is paint them. It still won't help with the fact that they look like toy buildings, but at least you can try to camouflage the toylike appearnce.

Well, thats MY opinion, I don't buy Plasticville because it's just too outdated and undetailed. 
   I don't care for Terrys attitude towards my opinion AND  towards many other posters, him and people like him drive others away from this forum, many have left because of the constant snobbery and arrogance displayed by some members here.
Theres an old addage ..it goes...."I calls 'em like I see'em'',  and I will continue to do so,  even if some consider it ''rude''.

  I buy from EBAY because I get good deals, I guess you have a lot of money to throw away on junk, well, the rest of us that work for a living don't have it. So yes I do think some companies kits are too high.

I won't even look at any of those buildings because they're so overpriced for nothing.
I just bought 5 factory sealed in plastic TYCO kits for $15 on Ebay, they are still availible from IHC for $14 EACH on sale!!  they are 100% better than those cheesy little plastic things that Bachmann sells. The TYCO kits  have interiors and the detail is excellent.
  I've wondered why Bachmann charge so much for 1950's era plastic snap-tite buildings....no detail and not even close to scale. 
   

10 mins. between posts?    I couldn't even FIND my eraser in 10 mins.!!
  If you can't get the lettering off using an eraser, try 70% isopropyl alcohol,  I've used it a few times on Bachmann stuff and it works fairly well.

   Lead paint?   well, I guess it IS time that China moved into the 19th century.....what will be next?  indoor plumbing and that new fangled tellyophone?
 
In all seriousness though,  this isn't the first time there have been recalls for this sort of thing....it is very sobering to hear that it's Fisher-Price though,  I would have expected more from them in the way of quality control and monitoring, considering what business they're in they should be on top of every aspect of production.

I expect that a NS Geep would've been on the rails of all those comapnies.

With power pooling, leasing and special train assignments, I wouldn't be surprised if a NS loco found it's way to Cali. or the southwest.

I've seen a lot of foreigen power on local rails in the last few years, and with the mergers, I expect a lot more.

If you'll notice in the lower right corner of the box you'll see a "Great Planes'' logo, that's a model dist. that deals mostly in radio control a\c and access.
I think you're probably looking at a set made especially for them and not availible through any other dist.
