Bachmann's Facebook now has high quality images of N Scale Diesel and Paxton. After getting a better look, it appears that Diesel's side rods are chemically blackened, rather than silver like his HO and Large counterparts. It will also be like that for the eventual N Scale 'Arry and Bert models. Same for Paxton's red side rods also being used for the eventual N Scale Sidney. If we get N Scale 'Arry and Bert in the near future, Bert needs to have noticeably more stubble, so the two can easily be told apart. There's demand for them to come back in HO Scale.

We haven't seen Sidney's HO Scale model yet, or Mainland Diesel for that matter, but we will soon. If the samples have arrived already, maybe we'll see teasers for them before the July stream. If Sidney is a popular seller, he can also be made for Large and N Scales.

At this moment, N Scale Henry and HO Scale Flying Scotsman are the only previously announced models that haven't had unpainted samples shown yet. HO Sidney and Mainland Diesel may be shown fully painted. Hopefully by the August stream at the earliest, we see the unpainted sample for N Scale Henry, and it may be a bit later before the unpainted sample of HO Scale Flying Scotsman. We know they're both coming in 2027, while N Scale Diesel and Paxton will be in stock by the end of this year.

One other suggestion for HO Scale is Timothy. Because the China Clay wagons would be perfect for him, and he can pull a whole line of them. Since no model of his basis exists, he can be popular to both Thomas and non-Thomas modelers. Another engine to work with Bill and Ben. He's also a smaller engine, and wouldn't be too hard to make. Blue Bill and Ben would be repaints, but Timothy would be a new tooling.

If Bill and Ben were to eventually get made in Large or N Scale, they most likely would have red wheels, as they'd be based on their CGI renders. They had black wheels in the model series. All three of Diesel's models (HO, Large and N Scale) have silver siderods, despite having been black since Season 6. If Large Scale ever gets a newly-tooled engine again, Bill and Ben would be the safest bet; two engines with one tooling. But if Large Scale gets anymore repaints of existing toolings, Bachmann can make Origin James, Sidney, 'Arry and Bert. We'll see how popular Mainland Diesel is in HO Scale.

The last Class 08 repaints for HO Scale are Splatter, Dodge and Fernando. With Sidney coming soon to HO Scale, he can also find his way into Large, or even N Scale at some point. If Sidney is a popular seller, Bachmann could possibly announce him in both Large and N Scales at the same time, so he can exist in all three scales, like Diesel and Paxton.

I would love for Bachmann to make Harvey, or Diesel 10 in HO Scale. Harvey would be simple, and his crane arm doesn't move up or down. The cogwheel can raise and lower his hook. A self-propelled rail crane would be unique for Bachmann. Diesel 10 would be the second larger diesel in HO Scale, and his claw would be a bit more complicated, but can be made manually operable. He would still have moving eyes, and only his rear bogie would be powered.

The next HO Scale engine could be anyone at this point. Whiff, Harvey, Diesel 10, Norman, Timothy, Hiro, you name it. Bachmann is known to surprise us at times. Harvey or Diesel 10 could be the next surprise announcement. We didn't think they'd be making Flying Scotsman.

So tonight's reveals were the updated China Clay load for the wagon, along with the fully painted samples of Bulgy, N Scale Diesel and Paxton. I will definitely pick up N Scale Diesel, but may or may not get Paxton right away. As for N scale Henry, there's last minute changes being made for him, but we should see his first unpainted sample by August. HO Scale Flying Scotsman is coming along, and should be revealed by the end of the year. We may actually see samples of HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel in the July stream, as those will be there any day. Looks like the next reveal will be HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel. HO Scale Salty will be returning in 2027 with no further delays.

Duncan hasn't been forgotten, but when Bachmann does revisit Duncan, they will try to make him based on Douglas, so that Douglas could be made from his tooling to make it worth it; appealing to both Thomas and non-Thomas fans.

Maybe at some point, Bulgy could also be made in his green livery, as a mobile vegetable stand. Then we'd have two versions available. As Bulgy would say, "Down with railways!"

Another CGI character I'd like to see in HO Scale is Norman. He would complete the trio with Paxton and Sidney, and he'd also be a fun addition for non-Thomas modelers, plus his tooling can be reused for Dennis, who only appeared in the model series. Other engine repaints for HO Scale that only appeared in the model series include Splatter and Dodge, plus Smudger and Proteus for Narrow Gauge. CGI repaints of existing toolings include Blue Bill and Ben, Green Salty and Fernando.

Busy Bee James is another possible repaint for N Scale, but with LBSC Thomas and Origin James coming soon, plus we need engines like Edward and Duck, Busy Bee James is not a priority for the immediate future, but maybe after we get some more new toolings in. Same for Sidney and Mainland Diesel. I'd also like to see 'Arry and Bert for N Scale, and hopefully, Bert gets more stubble than 'Arry so they can easily be told apart. That's what got them discontinued in HO Scale; being too difficult to tell apart. The upcoming Sodor Scrap wagon would be perfect for the Ironworks twins, and you would need a whole line of them.

Along with Edward, Duck and Spencer, another newly-tooled engine for N Scale that would also be welcome is Mavis. She would recycle Thomas and Toby's chassis, and the Ffarquhar Quarry Wagon can be made for N Scale as well. Edward should be the next medium-sized engine, Duck should be the next tank engine, Spencer should be the next big engine, and Mavis should be the next newly-tooled diesel; the first one that isn't a Class 08. The first model of Mavis to actually have siderods, which only Toby's N Scale model had.

Bachmann's first Narrow Gauge engine to originate from the CGI Series would have to be Luke. If Bachmann isn't ready to get Duncan back on the cards yet, Luke can also be possible.

Bulgy's painted sample has just been teased on Facebook. Will be shown in full in the June Trainworld Stream.

Other possibilities include painted samples of N Scale Diesel and Paxton, or samples of HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel. Might be a bit later before they have the full unpainted sample of N Scale Henry.

This thread has been quiet for the past couple weeks, but Bachmann's Facebook had just shown the first painted sample of Troublesome Truck #7. Now the next painted product awaiting release.

So the highlights of the stream are the N Scale LBSC Thomas, Origin James, red open wagon and Sodor Scrap wagon, which were shown on stream for the first time, but were shown before elsewhere. Thankfully, Origin James doesn't have the painted lamp like the HO Scale model did. One thing that wasn't shown before was the Large Scale LBSC Thomas. Still no full sample of N Scale Henry just yet, but we were shown a face sample for him. There should be a full unpainted sample of N Scale Henry sometime this summer. He's been prioritized over HO Scale Flying Scotsman.

Any day now, they will have samples for HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel. There will only be one face for Mainland Diesel for now, but if the model sells well enough, they might look into doing more face variants, like Ulli. I'd like to see Fernando, whose face can also be used for a Mainland Diesel variant. The China Clay wagon might possibly get a green variant. Personally, I'd like a new mining wagon with an ore load. 2027 should be the absolute last delay for Salty's reintroduction. The wait has been endless.

Other samples we can expect to be shown within the next few months include the painted samples of Troublesome Truck #7, Bulgy, N Scale Diesel and Paxton.

On tonight's stream, we were shown packaged samples of the Narrow Gauge gunpowder wagons, CGI milk and tar tankers, and the open carriage. We were then shown the China Clay Wagon and the unpainted sample of Troublesome Truck #7. We were also given updates, with N Scale Henry already in the tooling phase, and his unpainted sample should come in a few months. HO Scale Flying Scotsman is a little bit behind that, but getting there. Sidney and Mainland Diesel are also coming along, and should have something to show most likely this summer.

Shouldn't be too much longer before we get shown the fully painted samples of Bulgy, N Scale Diesel and Paxton.

I wasn't aware of that. It shows the samples of N Scale LBSC Thomas, Origin James, the red open wagon and the Sodor Scrap wagon. Those are more products with painted samples that are awaiting release. It also showed the painted N Scale Express Coaches, but those were the only ones that were actually shown in a stream.

For some reason, Bachmann decided to skip doing a Trainworld stream in March this year. We'll for sure get a stream in April, next Tuesday at the earliest. February's was late.

Things will start getting more exciting. We're possibly going to see the first unpainted samples of N Scale Henry and HO Scale Flying Scotsman, along with Bulgy's painted sample. We still haven't been shown the samples of N Scale LBSC Thomas and Origin James. Might be another month or two before we see the painted samples of N Scale Diesel and Paxton, along with HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel. It really shouldn't be much longer for those samples to come in.

So for the next HO Scale engine, the general consensus is that the next engine should be Hiro or Whiff. Hiro should be the next big tender engine for HO Scale after Flying Scotsman, but if we have to get another smaller engine first, Whiff would be a great choice, as he appeared in both model and CGI. Whiff would also raise demand to bring Scruff to HO Scale as well, so as to complete the Waste Dump duo. A wagon with a new trash bag load should be made specifically for an engine like Whiff. Hiro would 95% be a new tooling, but at least Bachmann can recycle Rebecca's wheels for him, but would be configured differently. He's one of the most popular characters to originate from the CGI series, plus a potential repaint would include Hiro in his patchwork livery.

I listed several ideas for the next HO Scale engine in my previous post, but it's been narrowed down to Hiro and Whiff.

The thread got taken down, since it started taking up too much space, full of outdated suggestions from years ago.

Anyway, the next HO Scale engine should be Whiff, Norman, Nia, Merlin, Hiro, or Diesel 10. At least Bachmann does have the wheels for Hiro, which can be sourced from Rebecca, just configured differently. Diesel 10 can be the first engine in the Thomas line to have a moveable attachment, though his claw would make him priced similar to Flying Scotsman. Only his rear bogie would be powered, like Daisy, to cut down on cost. Merlin can be made using Henry's chassis, and would be the first ready-to-run model of the King Arthur Class stealth engine. Whiff would be the first ready-to-run model of Aerolite, and Norman would be the first ready-to-run model of BR 11001. Suggestions for engine repaints include Green Salty and Fernando.

For HO Scale rolling stock, we still need the Chocolate Syrup and Toffee Tankers. The Works Unit Coach should be the next newly-tooled piece of HO Scale rolling stock, which can be made in green, orange and blue. We also need a red or green mining wagon with an ore load, so that we can have the ore load available outside the Deluxe Thomas set, which may get discontinued at some point. We can also get Gordon's Special Coaches. I'd like to see the orange wagon with coal load and dark gray van from the cancelled 80th Anniversary set.

The next Narrow Gauge engine will most likely be Luke, or a repaint of an existing tooling like Smudger and Proteus. Smudger would be made using Rheneas' tooling, while Proteus would be made using Sir Handel's tooling. Rolling stock can include repaints of existing toolings like tan and gray brake vans and box vans. A newly-tooled rolling stock can be a 4-Plank wagon.

The next N Scale engine will most likely either be Edward or Duck. We need Edward to complete the original Steam Team in N Scale. Duck should be the next tank engine for N Scale. The next big tender engine should be Spencer, who can recycle Gordon's chassis. If we get a diesel that's not a Class 08, Mavis can be made using Thomas' chassis. Class 08 repaints we can see N Scale getting in the near future include Sidney, 'Arry and Bert. The latter two are discontinued in HO Scale, while the former is coming soon to HO Scale. For N Scale rolling stock, we desperately need the BR 20-Ton brake van. Other welcome additions include the green Coal Wagon w/ Load, orange Cargo Car, Red Coaches, and Red Express Coaches. The three tankers should get discontinued, and Bachmann can invest in a brand new N Scale tanker tooling to better match the show. We can then get more tanker varieties like milk, tar, raspberry syrup and cream. When we get Spencer on the cards, the Special Coaches can be made for N Scale too. Unlike HO Scale, the N Scale Special Coaches can actually have a brake variant. They would most likely be made based on the model series.

N Scale Diesel and Paxton were announced in 2023, and only now they finally had samples shown. Once their painted samples get shown in like a few streams, there's a good chance they will be available by the end of this year, along with the express coaches. Also won't be much longer before we see Henry's unpainted N Scale sample.

With the Class 08 tooling complete for N Scale, we're bound to get 'Arry, Bert, Sidney and Mainland Diesel at some point in N Scale, as simple repaints with new faces. Though 'Arry and Bert are discontinued in HO Scale, while Sidney and Mainland Diesel are coming soon to HO Scale. The next diesel for the N Scale range that isn't a Class 08 should either be Mavis or Daisy. Mavis would recycle Thomas' chassis, and would be the first model of her to actually have side rods. Daisy would give the N Scale range a diesel with bogies, and she's an iconic character. If Daisy gets an N Scale model, that would be her second piece of merchandise since her return in CGI.

But, the next N Scale engine should still be Edward, so we can have the original Steam Team complete, while the next tank engine should be Duck, and the third big tender engine for the N Scale range should be Spencer. Both Edward and Duck would 100% be new toolings, while Spencer can recycle Gordon's chassis, and his tender would be a new tooling, along with his streamlined A4 body. Spencer shouldn't be too hard to make in N Scale.

Anything is possible, now that the N Scale backlog is finally starting to clear.

At last, we finally got to see the first unpainted samples of N Scale Diesel and Paxton, and shouldn't be much longer before their painted samples arrive. We did get an update on N Scale Henry, and he's finishing the design phase, so it won't be too much longer before we see his first unpainted sample. We also saw a face sample of HO Scale Sidney, showing he has a perfectly-proportioned face, unlike Paxton's HO Scale model, which had a disproportionate face. It won't be too much longer before we see the first samples of HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel within a few streams. Paxton's unpainted N Scale sample didn't have stepladders, but they'll be there on the final model. Maybe we can get 'Arry and Bert in N Scale too, which are discontinued in HO Scale.

We were also shown the fully painted N Scale Express Coaches, but we saw those on Facebook last week, and those will be available by the end of the year, alongside the Narrow Gauge Gunpowder Wagons, HO Scale Open Carriage, CGI Milk and Tar tankers. We weren't shown N Scale LBSC Thomas or Origin James, but those too should be available by the end of the year.

Within a few streams, we should see Bulgy's painted sample, along with the fully painted samples of N Scale Diesel and Paxton, HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel samples, and the first unpainted samples of N Scale Henry, and HO Scale Flying Scotsman. We're starting to get more exciting reveals. With the N Scale backlog finally starting to clear, maybe this NMRA will finally be the time for Bachmann to announce N Scale Edward or Duck.

Next Thursday's stream will most likely have Matt showing off the fully painted N Scale Express Coaches, and possibly N Scale LBSC Thomas and Origin James. Not sure if we can expect the unpainted samples of Diesel, Paxton or Henry just yet. Might be in a few months before we see the first unpainted sample of HO Scale Flying Scotsman, and Bulgy fully painted. Why Flying Scotsman is so expensive could largely be because he has two tenders. I'm hoping we'll soon also see the first samples of HO Scale Sidney and Mainland Diesel. Just one of those two costs about as much as I paid for both 'Arry and Bert in 2014. I remember the days when one small engine costed $60. Now we're paying twice as much as we did for models over a decade ago.
