Tried several times no avail.  The unit has a small PC Board that has only a few pin outs and two sets of two pins are shorted, but there is no labeling on the PC Board nor on the exploded view spec sheet that came with it.  There is however a small rectangle labeled "DCC"showing the PC Board, and a Decoder but again not the usual pin configuration details one sees on Bachmanns.

Any help would be appreciated.

The BACHMANN or Any one having any experience  installing a DCC decoder in a Spectrum Ballast Spreader Item #16947?

Would like to know what decoder you chose, and if there are any tips you could share.

This unit is DCC ready but with soldering pads only ~ NO Socket.

I have several of the Spectrum line GE 44 ton Switchers and want to put decoders in them, anyone have any thoughts on which decoders work best in these.

I also have the Spectrum Ballast Spreader Item #16947 that looks as though it would take the same decode - same question.
