It's not a Dash 9.
They are the new Spectrum Moguls. I have three of them.
I have tried all three methods:
1. using the existing interface.
2. Using the second interface supplied with the loco.
3 using the optional motor input on the control module in the tender.
The RP is battery operated, not track. I use dead rail.

Airwire control works just fine on these locos.
Rail Pro does not.
I am missing something.......

Large / New "plug N Play" adapter for Spectrum moguls.
November 04, 2025, 03:17:00 PM
I have failed at every attempt to adapt RailPro to my 3 moguls. I am not a beginner and have installed dozens of RailPro's in the other brands. After installation following Bachmanns instructions, the Railpro immediately crashes and shows a warning on the hand control.
Does anyone else have this problem? What am I missing?
Thanks,
JB

The "flying Grande" was the result of a new logo contest put out by upper mgmt of the Grande. The winning result was entered by an office girl at HQ.

Sorry,
I deciphered this as metal freight trucks:

<<Mr Bach-man,

Is there a good reason why Bachmann will not market their replacement metal wheel freight trucks" through dealers?

I believe Bob is referring to the metal trucks that are for the Spectrum 1:20.3 rolling stock.
Not the kits or plastic trucks.
I too would like to see the trucks available as separate items.
What happens when you need one to replace one?

And if you turn your train around and run the other direction?   ;D :D

It matters not which side those things go on.

.....And there's unpacking, sorting, re-packing and shipping out to distributors who will in turn unpack, sort and resend out to dealers.
And so on...............

Perhaps if Bach Mann and Jack Lynch (Buckso) actually knew the answer, they would tell you, don't you think? They probably are at the mercy of the manufacture, just like we are.
I, like the rest of you, am waiting patiently.

Justin,
That looks like a lot of WP&Y to me.  :)
More so than any other large scale mfg.

You can buy domes from Caboose hobbies in Denver.
But they are Accucraft parts.
Maybe that would help you.

It's a sad day when someone living where the product is made can't even go to the factory and purchase a part.

Large / Ball bearing wheel sets

Has anyone swapped out the stock wheels on the Spectrum 1:20.3 rolling stock to BB wheel sets?
If so, what brand did you use and why.
Thanks,
jb

Some logging mallets with tanks also pulled tenders as well.
If you didn't want a replica of "Samson" of the Caspar, leave the tanks on.
It is your layout.

I run an inside framed Mikado on my layout, lettered for the Rio Grande Southern. They didn't have any. On my layout they did.
