Does anybody have a tender for a Bachmann spectrum pency K4 4-6-2 mine was destroyed in a move the engine is fine but, it will not run without the tender

I don't plan to run without a tender, I want to use another.  I am going to model the southern Tennessean which has a tender that has 12 trucks not the 8 that are on the model currently.  I have another tender but it does not have the pick up's on the wheels.

I have a spectrum pency 4-6-2 that I want to use another tender on.  Will it run without the tender?  Is there any way to make it run without it?
