I have track power. The new Climax comes with either a DCC ready "dummy plug" for track power or a DCC/Sound board. Is it possible to configure the DCC/Sound board to use the on board sound but run on track power?

I had the same experience. My hobby shop suggested that I use Hob-E-Lube MOLLY GREASE with molybedenum from Woodland Scenics.
It works great on my 3 truck Shay!

Bach Man,
I recently(within the last couple of months) saw mention in one of the magazines of a future offering of a large scale Spectrum 4-4-0 American.
Since I tossed the magazine, and my dealer can't find it on any of his lists or web sites he thinks I may be losing it.

I recently went through the same scenario for my track power K-27. After a little research and participation in a couple of large scale forums. I settled on Phoenix Sound. None of the providers have an easy answer for track power
However since you have power, and DCC considerations as well as sound, jump on Large Scale Central (http://www.largescalecentral.com/index.php ) and navigate your way to the Power and Sound forum. Several participants have great knowedge and some experience with your K-27 situation. One of them is a provider.

I am a track powered LGB guy that has installed two Phoenix sound systems in my LGB locomotives.
I want to purchase a non DCC 3 truck shay and install a Phoenix sound system.
Has anybody done this? What about magnetic triggers and power pickups.
Will I have to put the card in one car and the speaker in the other?
