Yeah,
That's cool.I spent about a month looking for mine.I was watching some on Ebay and the guy had them listed forever.I offered him $75.00 for them and he took it.I got 6 passenger cars and an extra water tender. They are the Con-Cor ones and look pretty decent. Now the big thing is to find lighting kits or learn how to do LED lighting.Good luck I hope the cars turn out well!

There is a scam artist that has victimized at least 20 fellow model railroaders.

He posted "for sale" ads on many of the N scale message boards (thankfully none on Trainboard that I’m aware of).

People sent him a lot of money and never received the goods. There may be many other victims that we are not aware of yet. We have already found him to be running a similar scam on the video gaming boards. I don’t know the legality of posting his name, so will not do that here, but if you or anyone you are aware of has sent money to someone in Denmark, South Carolina and not heard from them, please contact me A.S.A.P. for details on how to proceed and who to contact.

Hope no one at Bachmann has been a victim of this criminal. You may need to call your local authorities to learn how to proceed.

Brokemoto,
I would leave it all factory. In my experience of years of action figure and toy collecting, any misprint or odity considers it a varient.I would put it up and by a new one.Usually in 5 years this will be worth 5-10 times the original value.Just a thought.

P.S. I finally got to reply in one of your posts ;D

Oh Mr. Bach-Man!?!?!

Someone forgot to do his HW on the B&O version of this one.  Either that or something went wrong in China; either they did not get the instructions correctly or someone did not give them the correct instructions.

The road number on the B&O is not correct.  No B&O H-16-44 had road number 928.  That series had numbers 925, 926 and 927.  The unit that B-mann issued has road number 928.  This is incorrect.  Please have this corrected  if Bachpersonn does this scheme in subsequent runs.

Other than that, it is a pretty good locomotive.  I did not notice this error at first, even though I posted road numbers on various places on the internet.  A Western Maryland nut noticed it.  He is posting very detailed impressions of his unit on the A-Board, soooooooo if anyone wants more information, go there and look.

N / Re: 4-8-4 Northern Locomotive & 52' Tender
April 21, 2007, 02:33:05 AM
Hi,
Man I've had nothing but problems with my J.But my 4-8-4 Northern probably the best train I own.(Although I only own 5 N scalesand 3 H/O scales)I have 3. 4-8-4 Js and the one I bought new has given me more problems than my old Ford car.If you could think of anything that could go wrong has.Get this lol.The day I got it in the box was smashed. One of the under runner cables under the cab was broke.I figured no big deal.I broke it in.The second time I went to use it motor  seized up.I fixed that.Ran it the forth time the little plastic coupler that goes to the tender broke only pulling a mere 5 cars.Went to run it yesterday all the right side wheels kept poping off.Unfortunatly,I hate that train.I'm scared to run my others.Probably send the one in and sell the other 2.Sorry for the complaint board but yes the regular 4-8-4 is the best one I've had.

Look Mr. B’ Mann.

Not sure what your problem is.
You have many reporting a problem with slow loading of your web pages.
Add me to the list.

Please justify your response:

Dear All,
My pages open almost instantly on FIOS. Maybe it's your ISP.
Have fun!
The Bach-man

Obviously you have not even bothered to investigate the alleged problem.
Why didn’t you do a little investigation before you posted?

Understandably your response is the same as is so prevalent now-a-days.
Nobody accepts responsibility; they just blow it off on whatever/whoever they can, (‘you’re ISP”)

You would have saved your creditability simply posting that you have contacted your forum administrators about the alleged problem, if you in fact did, rather than saying “there is no problem… must be your ISP”

Shame on you.

Whatever excuse you may offer is just that…

MAN UP

I'm done

Yeah,
I have dsl and I can load any page up in a snap 'cept this one.It took 1min 20 sec. for me to log in.That is very slow.It is not isp causing it.I can go to Bot talk and load up a forum 10 times the size of this one in a second or 2.So just to agree with everyone it is on the Bachmann end.

General Discussion / Hinged Layouts
April 19, 2007, 02:03:51 AM
Is there a good way to hinge a layout so it will fold in half to store when not in use?Or would it be easier to make it in sections for storage?
